This exhibition is part of the Chamalot course : 10 years of residences, 10 galleries, 1 contemporary painting course in the heart of Paris.

Each invited into the painting of the other

Slipping on a siren’s dress, brandishing a knife, ruling the world, kneading pink breasts, gazing upward, receiving a sign: a handful of pebbles, a paper crown, a bouquet of currant, a whip of brambles, a kiss. Ordinary life, dream life.

Marion Bataillard and Marc Molk are both inhabited by a certain lyricism, oscillating between rustic provocation, emotional indecency, and autobiographical pathos. For this dual exhibition, each decided to enter into the painting of the other. Marion Bataillard will appear in the paintings of Marc Molk, Marc Molk will appear in those of Marion Bataillard. They will exchange certain motifs and they will play with these intertwined elements.
